Bio
I started my career in visual artistry as a window display designer and merchandiser working with Nordstrom, Wet Seal, J.C. Penney, Comtempo Casuals and Bon Marche. For six years I was an in-store visual manager for Tower Records, during which time, I won over thirty national display contests. I quickly learned that I had the ability to sell merchandise through the creation of eye-catching visual displays and I was hooked. I fell in love with the work, the fast pace and the satisfaction of seeing my end product have a positive impact on customers.
Quite naturally, I was drawn to photo styling while studying photography at a Seattle community college and I tried my hand at various styling projects. Through many twists and turns, I ended up with a career in the photographic industry, but not as a photographer. While living in the San Francisco Bay Area, I landed a job as an Art Buyer with a large agency where I gained tons of experience working with photographers and clients creating ads.. I was lucky enough to style some of them too. I also spend eight years as an artist's representative, working with some well-known and even prestigious agencies, but one day I had a revelation that I did not belong stuck behind a desk with a phone glued to my ear. I missed being on set, being where the action is and I missed shopping til I dropped-yeah, some people were born to shop!
Through a series of coincidences and a few more twists and turns, I am working as a stylist again-I have come full circle. I believe it's never too late to do what you were really meant to do and I am enjoying every minute of it.
