Bio

I started my career in visual artistry as a window display designer working with companies such as Nordstrom, Wet Seal. J.C. Penney and Bon Marche. For six years I was an in-store visual manager for Tower Records, during which, I won over thirty national display contests. I quickly realized that I had an ability to sell merchandise through the creation of effective visual displays. I fell in love with the work, the fast pace and the satisfaction of seeing my end product have a positive impact on customers.

Quite naturally, this kind of work turned into photo styling while I was living in Seattle and studying photography in community college. Through many twists and turns of fate I had a career in the photographic world, but not as a photographer. I started out as an Art Buyer for a large advertising agency in the Bay Area. For eight years I was an artist representative, working at some well-known and even prestigious agencies, but one day I had a revelation that I didn’t belong behind a desk with a phone stuck to my ear. I missed being on-set, being where the action is and I missed shopping til I dropped. Yeah, some people are born to shop!

Through a series of coincidences and a few more twists and turns, I am working as a stylist again-I’ve come full circle. It can be said that I have worn many hats in our industry, but now I most enjoy putting hats on other people. I believe it’s never too late to do what you were really meant to do and I’m enjoying every minute of this experience.
